Child Safety Standards

1. Scope and eligibility

These standards apply to the West Valley IRL mobile apps, website, profiles, QR cards, links, events, and community activity. The Service is intended for adults age 18 and older and is not directed to children. An adult-only audience does not reduce our commitment to identifying and addressing child-safety concerns.

2. Prohibited conduct and content

Users may not create, upload, solicit, link to, distribute, promote, normalize, or facilitate CSAM or any content or behavior involving the sexual abuse or exploitation of a child. Prohibited behavior includes grooming a child for sexual purposes, sextortion, sexual solicitation, trafficking or advertising a child for sexual exploitation, exchanging sexual imagery involving a child, or using the Service to contact or endanger a child.

West Valley IRL does not provide photo or video uploads or in-app chat. These prohibitions still apply to profile text, external links, QR-card content, event activity, and any other use of the Service.

3. How to report

In the iOS or Android app, open People, choose Report or block for a member, and select Child safety or exploitation. Reports are private and go to the West Valley IRL moderation team. You may also email hello@westvalleyirl.com with the member name, event, relevant link, and a description of the concern.

Do not send, download, copy, or redistribute suspected CSAM when making a report. If a child may be in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or law enforcement first.

4. Review and enforcement

We prioritize child-safety reports and take appropriate action when we obtain actual knowledge of prohibited content or conduct. Actions may include removing or disabling content and links, restricting or terminating accounts, preserving relevant records when appropriate and lawful, preventing further contact, and cooperating with law enforcement or child-safety authorities.

5. Reporting to authorities

West Valley IRL complies with applicable child-safety laws. When we confirm or otherwise become aware of apparent CSAM or conduct requiring a report, we will report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline or the applicable regional authority, and to law enforcement when required or necessary to protect a child.

6. Child-safety point of contact

Google Play, law enforcement, child-safety organizations, and members may contact the West Valley IRL safety team at hello@westvalleyirl.com. This address is the designated contact for notifications concerning CSAE, CSAM, enforcement, and review procedures.
